Every week, I write out a list of goals that I’d like to accomplish. I’m very goal-driven and have a plan in mind, but there are several reasons I like to put pen to paper.
This week, my list looks like this:
For Winter in July
- Finish my FINAL edit (Only 4 chapters left, YAY!)
- Get the ebook files for the cover
- Have a cover reveal!
- Finish the summary/blurb
- Get a new ISBN
- Submit copyright
- Format in Draft 2 Digital
- Update newsletter welcome with Winter in July formatted copy
- Create Canva posts for Instagram and Facebook
- Create a post for when Winter and July will be live: Friday, July 19th!
- Post my street team form to gather members for the ‘Jeanie Club’
- Set up preorder for Welcome to Garden Valley (this link will go in the back to Winter in July)
- Start the final edit of Welcome to Garden Valley (the goal is to read 2 chapters per day)
If this looks like a lot, it’s because it is! Luckily, some tasks, such as getting a new ISBN, take only a few minutes. Almost all the tasks, such as finishing the summary, are nearly completed.
I’ll admit, much of what I need to do before coming out with Winter in July is more last-minute than I’d like. I could go on and on about why this is, but let’s just say I shuffled the order of my book releases. Once this book and Welcome to Garden Valley is done (to be published in August!), the next book releases will be more streamlined.
I’ve been planning for this moment for months, the launch of my free story, Winter in July. If you’ve been a part of my newsletter already, chances are you’ve already read this story. I’ve added several fun phrases and subplots, but the story is basically the same.
If you want to join my ‘Jeanie Street Team,’ fill out the application form here: https://forms.gle/tDXTtWS9n8KVqk9b7. I’m looking for about twenty-five people to be on my street team, people I’m counting on to make a few posts on their social media sites to help boost my community and get the names of my books out there. The main perk you’ll get for being a part of this street team is that you’ll get to read my books for free!
The major excitement for this week is that I’m back! I’m done hiding behind closed doors, editing sentences and plots to the best of my abilities. I’m ready to step behind the curtain and share what I’ve been working on with the world! This journey has been a lot of fun, and I can’t wait to share it with people looking for fun, heartwarming, and easy-to-read books. This is my mission, and I’m so glad you are here to enjoy it with me!
