Okay, so my first interview was with a friend, but it was a blast! This could be a place of heaven for my inner critic, to put a highlight on everything that I didn’t like about my appearance (squinty eyes, much?), or my voice (do I really sound like that?). Nevertheless, it’s out there for the world to see, or even hundreds will do in my opinion.
I’m simply not allowing any negativity to gain control when watching and promoting this video. It’s the same with my writing. Sure, I could dwell in the thoughts that my stories aren’t good enough, that my plotlines are weak, or that my characters aren’t believable. Where would I be if I listened to these voices, or worse, if I believed them?
I wouldn’t have written my books in the first place! I wouldn’t have hit publish! I wouldn’t have taken the chance! And, I wouldn’t have received the praise that I have from friends, family, and yes, even a few strangers.
My friend Lisa, graciously agreed to have me on her channel: ‘Coping With Yarn.’ She has a couple of cameos in my book, Switching to Light, and she’ll pop up here and there throughout some books. I may also have her own, mainly fictional story planned as a book in itself.
So here’s the interview! I hope you have as much fun watching it as we did filming. : )
