Hello, lovely readers!
December has officially arrived, and I’m diving headfirst into all the exciting chaos it brings. From editing and marketing to festive family moments, here’s a little peek at what I’ve been up to:
Editing Frenzy
I’m thrilled to share that I’ve wrapped up the paper edits for my spring books, Switching to Light and Turning to Color! This process is tedious—meticulously transferring every comma and sentence change into Word—but there’s something deeply satisfying about seeing that pile of edited pages grow after each session. These books are coming together beautifully, and I can’t wait to share them with you.
Marketing Adventures
Surprisingly, I’ve been having a lot of fun with marketing lately! From creating eye-catching flyers in Canva to reaching out to libraries and local bookstores, every step feels like it’s opening doors for my writing career. It’s been energizing to see the possibilities unfold, and I’m learning so much along the way.
Social Media Hustle
Ah, social media… (cue the daunting orchestra). It can feel overwhelming, but I’ve found my rhythm by focusing on YouTube and Instagram, with occasional check-ins with my Jeanie Club on Facebook. Filming new YouTube videos has been an absolute blast. If you’re not subscribed yet, come join me on my channel (JeanShelbyBooks)! I’ve recently added a fun twist, blending my love of writing with my passion for manifestation. This new direction has sparked so many creative ideas, and I can’t wait to explore them further with you.
Holiday Joy
The holidays are in full swing here, and I’m soaking up every magical moment. Watching my kids decorate the tree, hearing them belt out Christmas carols, and seeing their generous hearts as they shop for gifts fills me with so much joy. It’s the perfect reminder of what this season is all about.
What are your December plans? Are you as knee-deep in holiday cheer (or to-do lists) as I am? Hit reply and let me know what’s keeping you busy this month—I’d love to hear from you!
Wishing you a wonderful holiday season, full of love, laughter, and maybe even a little quiet time with a good book.
Warmly,
Jean
P.S. As always, I have a special offer of FREE books for you. Want more books? Here’s another link of books you can check out for Christmas!
